Insurance privacy rights
California’s Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act and related regulations provide protections for personal information collected in insurance transactions. Applicable notices may explain what is collected, how it is used and disclosed, access and correction rights, and any available opportunity to restrict certain disclosures.
CCPA rights where applicable
If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to the agency or a particular processing activity, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and opt out of sale or sharing, as well as a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. Some information governed by insurance privacy laws may be exempt from some CCPA provisions.
How to submit a request
Call (916) 580-7999 or email elias@eloinsurance.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Describe the request and the best way to reach you. Do not email identity documents or highly sensitive information. We will explain a secure verification method if needed. An authorized agent may submit a request when legally permitted and may be asked to provide proof of authority.
